At the heart of Artencia is our Residency Program—a living ecosystem for creative experimentation, intellectual inquiry, and cultural contribution. We welcome exceptional individuals across disciplines who seek space to reflect, create, and engage in dialogue that matters.
Who We Welcome
Artencia residents come from a wide range of fields: visual and performing arts, architecture, writing, science, technology, philosophy, ecology, design, and more. What unites them is not their medium, but their mindset: rigorous curiosity, a spirit of collaboration, and a desire to contribute to broader cultural conversations.
We are especially interested in those whose work crosses boundaries—artists working with data, scientists exploring narrative, or designers reimagining systems. Our community thrives on difference and thrives even more on exchange.
Residency Experience
Residents are provided with:
Private accommodations and shared studio spaces
A financial stipend and travel support
On-site meals, wellness access, and staff support
Opportunities to engage with guest participants through informal gatherings and structured events
Residencies range from 3 to 8 weeks, with cohorts intentionally selected to create dynamic interdisciplinary interplay. Time at Artencia is both protected and permeable—offering solitude for deep work, and connection for shared discovery.
Engagement & Impact
Residents are invited to share their work in ways that feel authentic: studio open houses, salons, performances, or conversations with guests and community members. These are not mandatory or transactional; they are invitations to connect.
The goal is not output, but contribution. What emerges is often more than a project—it’s a shift in perspective, a lifelong connection, or a seed for future work.
Legacy & Dissemination
Resident work is documented through publications, recorded talks, and digital features that help extend the reach of what is created and shared here. These artifacts contribute to a growing archive of cultural thought, freely available to future residents and the public.
